Tesuque

Tesuque is considered one of the most distinctive and desirable communities in the Santa Fe area for several reasons:

• Deep Historical Roots — Tesuque takes its name from nearby Tesuque Pueblo, whose people have occupied the area since about 1200 A.D. The Pueblo played an important role in New Mexico history, including events surrounding the 1680 Pueblo Revolt.
• Rural Beauty Just Minutes from Town — One of Tesuque’s biggest attractions is that it feels secluded and rural, with rolling foothills, piñon-covered hillsides, horse properties, and mountain views, yet it’s only about 10 minutes from Santa Fe Plaza.
• Privacy and Luxury — Tesuque is known for large estates, gated compounds, equestrian properties, and significant acreage. Many affluent buyers choose Tesuque because it offers privacy that is difficult to find closer to downtown Santa Fe.
